Live Nation told me Daniel's first three songs of the set would be performed under a massive curtain. I knew this would be interesting...

I wanted it to feel like acceptance. Saying acceptance makes it feel a bit stiff, when really the vibe is like, f*** yeah everybody, hell yeah, and if you can’t get down with this, f*** off...

Headlining the event was non-other than Earl Sweatshirt of Odd Future fame. Earl's evolution as an artist has been fascinating to view, and we believe his change in trajectory came with his 2018 release titled Some Rap Songs...

The intro to the set was one of my favorites I've ever seen and it is going to stick with me for months I am sure.

I guess I was looking for different and fresh ways to write songs because I was a bit too used to writing in a specific way and wanted to shake things up...

Center stage were several instruments, including guitars, keyboards, synths, sequencers, and much more. Seamlessly, FKJ flowed between all of these inputs, performing in a unique/multi-faceted set.

I wanted it to feel like how the internet feels to navigate, so the variety of sounds is very reflective of that...

I took inspiration from the somewhat schizophrenic yet entertaining behavior of a few cats I've owned who purr for attention and then sink their teeth into you without reason or warning.
