"I can’t believe this is Friko’s debut. You can certainly hear that they’ve done their musical homework, but I don’t hear any derivation that I can pinpoint as a whole, just influences on influences stacked until they became their own entity entirely. But this IS ultimately noisy indie rock; musically, I don’t expect it to redefine the genre. What makes Friko stand above the rest here is their songwriting. With not a filler track in the list, they came out swinging. Every song is distinct, every groove hits, and goddamn it every melody is catchy. I haven’t had an indie rock album stick in my head this firmly in a very long time. The melodies are just so well-crafted and beautiful that I felt like I’d always known them, as if they weren’t just written, they were inevitable. I loved every second of this album and can’t wait to see where this band takes us in the future."

"Debut Masterpiece - My God.
I don't typically write reviews this short. I try to give reasons that I think people should listen to things.
Listen to this album. Listen to the first song even. You'll finish it. Then tell me that this isn't on the AOTY shortlist for you. It is for me. It's at the top."
