CAROLINE POLACHEK - Butterfly Net
You released this hours after I heard this record for the first time.... I fixated on this song for so long last night because it spoke to me so deeply...
"You released this hours after I heard this record for the first time.... I fixated on this song for so long last night because it spoke to me so deeply... It is beyond incredible to me that this was just on the horizon... thank you so much, Caroline, for your authentic expressions that come with such divine timing. This is blowing my mind right now..."

"This version and the alternate cover for this song remind me of cosmic love for some reason..... The original one reminded me of desperation in a way, craving love and to be loved, but this one is like trying to catch every star in the night sky with a small, broken net and trying to give it to someone who doesn't give you the same love you give to them; like spiraling into both nothingness and blooming into rebirth, breaking and creating cycles of love and destruction that both are of your creation and not, like walking on cold desert sand at sunrise: break of day, knowing it's going to burn you later on, and still choosing to walk. Walking until you find someone, sparkling and glittering like a wave on the ocean: as cold as rejection and as warm as youthfulness, someone who is both explosive and diffusive, bad and good. But once you reach them, you find it was nothing but a mirror image of yourself displayed on a rusted, silver platter laying on a rock."
