夢の砂漠 explores a lot of feelings I’ve been having over the past year - mostly a lot of self-exploration and I wanted to convey this a long and ethereal album so that other people can travel through the ‘dream desert’ and explore all of these intense feelings themselves...

Originally, it was just cool imagery. We found this vintage bunny on eBay, and it became a studio mascot. Then we said we should just make it the album cover because it's been through the whole ride.
I had no planned coverage until 4:00pm the first day to cover Paris Texas so my time was spent conversing with the other media members in attendance...
Each song in the album chronicles a different part of my life during that time, and ultimately captured the beginning and end of my first queer relationship - which inspired many lyrics in this album...
I took inspiration from the somewhat schizophrenic yet entertaining behavior of a few cats I've owned who purr for attention and then sink their teeth into you without reason or warning.
Center stage were several instruments, including guitars, keyboards, synths, sequencers, and much more. Seamlessly, FKJ flowed between all of these inputs, performing in a unique/multi-faceted set.
