Talk to us a bit about (((O))).
((( O )))
It's spelt with a space on both sides of the capital O hehe.
ETHEREAL.PRESS
Why did you choose to go by the name ((( O ))) instead of your original stage-name?
((( O )))
I was in a headspace where I wanted a name that represents the closest to my essence. The symbol ((( O ))) represents energy, life-force, what we all have, what we all are - light.
I love that you cannot pronounce it because people calling me by name gave me anxiety thinking it's someone I forgot the name and face of.
Giving your name can be like giving someone the power to get your attention actually, and I'm glad I am experiencing this fun little alternate reality I've built within this reality.

Tell us a bit about your most recent project, '((( 4 ))).'
((( O )))
((( 4 ))) is the biggest project I've done yet - from production to complete structured songs, mixed and mastered, and visual concept for every song. It shaped itself very naturally and grew and it still growing into full bloom.

Your outfits, jewelry, and body paint in these most recent music videos are super unique.
Can you speak to the inspiration behind these expressions? Is gold symbolic for you?
((( O )))
I just do and wear what feels right for the entity I am channeling from, maybe out there in the universe or maybe something deep inside of my own DNA, or both. Either way, it is a very intuitive and trusting process.
All expressions have to feel right to me for that entity.
The color gold, I gravitate towards using it in my art, and like many things, I found are much a part of my Philippine roots that have been forgotten through colonization the last 400 years. Apparently the Philippines (before being named after Spanish King Philip), had gold everywhere.
I use gold over my eyes to represent how I felt about ego-death. Turns out the Philippines would put gold over the eyes of the deceased.

How does spirituality influence your creative output?
((( O )))
Spirit is all creative output. There is not much to think about, just let it happen and create through you. This way, much of the hard work is done already.

Doja Cat recently shouted you out on TikTok for your song, 'vibin' out,' - which she called 'one of the best songs on the planet.' What was your first thought when that happened?
((( O )))
It was the hardest "giving me my flowers" I ever had, especially with that song since it came out on another artist's album and not my own.

Talk to us a bit about your charitable work in the Philippines & how your Filipino heritage affects your creative output.
((( O )))
Learning about heritage helps me understand why I do what I do and how I express it.
Why I prefer to do things a certain way versus the ways of the mainstream world, without feeling like I'm an outcast in society. But instead sharing these discoveries in my culture with other Filipinos who feel like they've outcasted themselves inside, in order to keep up with the trends of the western world.
I try to express this in practical ways beyond art, starting off by uncovering and opting for natural resources we've neglected along the ways of importing and globalization.

Tell us a bit about - ((( 2 ))) - 03. iFeel // Official Music Video
((( O )))
Oh, I learned how to free dive for two days to shoot the music video on the third day but while wearing pants and opening my eyes under seawater.
It was a very magical three days.

Talk to us us a bit about your most recent colors performance.
((( O )))
Colors is the only live music channel I really like on YouTube. It was a dream to have one on their channel. I dreamt to have a pleasant experience with the team and an output we were all happy with, which is exactly what happened.
